Finally, I got it done!

I was inspired by 's "Team Magic X" redering to create this piece. I started by sketching out Sonic, and working my way around him from there. Once I got it sketched out, I scanned and started coloring using my old soft-coloring technique (which I haven't used in ages!..).
I kept my copy of Leoz's drawing for reference, especially for the Earth in the background, and also Espio's power-fist that I added for flavor. I adore how I rendered Omega's eye. Very detail and fits him quite well. I laso like how I added the glows to Sonic's shoes and Amy's hammer. I think it makes them more futuristic, IMO. I also am quite happy with Shadow's pose. You could just add Mighty Mouse's theme to his pose!
"Here I come to save the day!..."
I both like and dislike a few things in the piece. What I dislike is Rouge, cause she's too small. I literially traced over a psoe I had printed out of her, just to save time (I was taking too long on this sketch), and recreated her outfit. As I said, I trace her pose just to get this piece of shit done! It was driving me crazy! @__@;
For the characters, I had my highlight and Burning brushes to 25% opacity, and for the Earth and Moon, I use brushes at 70% opacity and flow and setting of both Screen and Overlay. The Earth was easy (thanks to Leoz's drawing for renference) but the moon I had to redo a few times before getting it right. The sun and flare were the last thing to go.

All done in PhotoShop 7.0. About a Week's worth of work.
